These classes cover the basic skills, general knowledge and fundamentals of the sports.  They include exercises like; jumping rope, foot work, stretching, and proper form for punching and kicking. The classes also incorporate bag work, focus mitts, kick shields and sparring.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, combat sport and a form of self defense that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting.

Our wrestling program changes throughout the year; during high school wrestling season we focus on training for tournaments.  After the season, we focus on wrestling as it applies to MMA.

These classes (Kickboxing & Grappling) cover basic skills and fundamentals of the sport.  It includes exercises like jumping rope, foot work, and stretching.  The MMA portion of the class covers a variety of fighting techniques including striking and grappling while both standing and on the ground.

Muay Thai for MMA






Instructors: Mike Roberts

Muay Thai is a combat sport from Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This class focuses on Muay Thai for the MMA game rather than the ring sport (different strategy). This class further helps the development of striking skills.

This class has been specially designed for FKA members. MMA is a full contact sport that uses a combination of fighting techniques and skills from a variety of martial arts. This class will cover striking and grappling techniques when standing and on the ground.

Fitness Kickboxing

Fitness Kickboxing is an exciting, heart pumping, full body workout that incorporates a kickboxing theme. Basic Kickboxing is taught through focus mitts and bag work. This is a great cardiovascular workout.

Fitness and Circuit Training

This class is a full body workout that combines resistance training, stability, calisthenics, and cardiovascular training all in a circuit format.

Personal/Group Training
